Quick questions

Honest answers. This is calming sound to help you relax, not a medical treatment.

Eight calming sounds: rain, ocean, night forest, flowing water, thunderstorm, campfire, meditation bells, and Tibetan singing bowls.

Do I need headphones?

Yes. The calming pulse only works when each ear hears a slightly different tone, so earbuds or headphones are needed. The nature sounds play fine on speakers, but the pulse will not.

How should I breathe with it?

Slow breathing is what calms your body. The easiest way: breathe in slowly for about 5 seconds as the circle grows, then out for about 5 seconds as it shrinks. That is around 5 to 6 breaths a minute, a pace many people find soothing. Other gentle options: box breathing (in 4, hold 4, out 4, hold 4) to steady your focus, or 4-7-8 (in for 4, hold for 7, out for 8) to wind down for sleep. Breathe through your nose if you can, and keep it easy, never forced.

Do binaural beats actually work?

The evidence is mixed but promising for relaxation, anxiety, and sleep. A lot of the calm also comes from slow, soft, steady sound. Think of it as a helpful aid, not a cure.

How long should I listen?

Ten to twenty minutes is the usual window, and longer is better. Twenty minutes or more gives the calm time to settle. Pick a length, press play, and let it run.

Is it free? Do I need an account?

Yes it is free, and no account is needed. Just press play. You can also download your sound and keep it, with no sign up and no app.

Is this safe?

For most people, yes. Keep the volume comfortable. Do not use it while driving or doing anything that needs your focus. If you have seizures or a medical concern, ask your doctor first.
